Filip received his law degree from Palacky University in Olomouc, Czech Republic (2009), where upon graduating he was awarded with a Distinction. While there, he pursued various study abroad programs in International Law at The Hague University in Netherlands (2007), in European Law at Central European University in Budapest (2008) and in Arbitration and Mediation at Humboldt Law School in Berlin (2009).

In 2011, Filip studies LLM at Melbourne Law School in Australia, in 2013 graduated with an LLM (Merits) from King’s College London, University of London, and in 2017 completed a PhD in arbitration at the Charles University in Prague. Filip also received an invitation to carry out a research program at Columbia Law School in New York.  

After pursuing apprenticeships with the Czech Constitutional Court, the Czech Supreme Administrative Court and the Czech Ministry of Justice, Filip continued his professional experience at prestigious international law firms Peterka & Partners in Prague, where he worked as an associate from 2009 to 2012, and K&L Gates in Melbourne, Australia, in 2011.

He is fluent in both Czech and English and has a working knowledge of Russian and Slovak.
